Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Nurse Specialist to join our team at Powell River General Hospital. As a critical care nurse, you will provide emergency nursing care to clients/patients of all ages presenting with a wide variety of symptoms within an uncontrolled environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care to clients/patients of all ages, including stabilization and resuscitation of multi-trauma victims.
- Prepare for and respond to disaster situations, demonstrating expertise and leadership in nursing practice.
- Enhance quality of life from the perspective of the client/family, consulting, conferencing, and collaborating with other healthcare providers.
- Maintain and advance clinical competence, participating on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned.

Qualifications
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) is required.
- Completion of a recognized critical care nursing program or completion of a recognized advanced program in emergency care nursing or two (2) years' recent, related experience.
