We are a unique health services organization that serves people who are blind or partially sighted across the country. Our certified specialists provide training that empowers clients to develop or restore activities of daily living skills, promote independence, enhance safety and mobility.

Competitive Compensation Package: $21.67/hour

As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will be working closely with our team to ensure seamless operations. Your primary responsibilities will include registering clients, gathering and recording client information, and assigning client records to appropriate staff.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the electronic medical record application to register clients and manage caseloads.
  • Update Registration and Eye Information pages within the electronic medical record.
  • Assign required Services and Interventions through the electronic medical record and schedule appointments.
  • Provide information about VLRC services and resources.
  • Flag urgent/critical situations to Supervisor or other designated staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient level of knowledge in the electronic medical record application.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of persons with vision loss.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Detail-oriented, with ability to enter data accurately.
