Procurement Category Manager

Unified Purchasing Group (Canada) Inc. is seeking a skilled Procurement Category Manager to lead our team in strategic sourcing and category management. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing category plans, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost savings initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute category strategies to drive business value and cost savings
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure best-in-class pricing and service
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
- Conduct market research and analysis to inform category strategies and supplier selection
- Develop and maintain category plans, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in procurement or a related field
- Strong knowledge of category management principles and practices
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
- Experience with procurement software and systems
