About the Role

Canadian Blood Services is seeking a Regular part-time Phlebotomist (Donor Care Associate) to join our dynamic team at the Donor Centre.

In this role, you will support our mission by collecting donor blood in a safe manner. You will work face-to-face with donors, team members, and volunteers, providing quality service during each stage of the collection process.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will conduct registration and confidential screening to determine eligibility and build a positive donor experience.
  • You will monitor donors for safety and comfort, provide post-donation care, and respect donor privacy.
  • You will ensure safe processing and handling of blood products, drawing on your knowledge of procedures.
  • You will work with others to assist in the collection of whole blood and apheresis blood components that save lives daily.
  • You will participate in setting up booths, tables, and equipment for mobile events within our communities.
Requirements
  • You must have completion of high school and an accredited training program in phlebotomy or one year of related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • You should have basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and programs.
  • A second language is considered an asset to support a positive donor experience.

Working Conditions
