We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Specialist - Patient Care.

Job Summary

This role involves providing professional practical nursing services to designated patients, including independent nursing services, administration of prescribed medical treatments, collaboration with the healthcare team, and participation in patient care coordination and discharge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, prioritizing individual needs and collaborating with the healthcare team to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Administer prescribed medical treatments and medications safely and effectively.
  • Participate in patient care coordination, ensuring seamless transitions and timely discharges.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of regional policies, procedures, and guidelines, staying up-to-date on best practices in patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Education program required.
  • Certification in IV Therapy; IV Medication Administration.
  • Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements met.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent experience in a clinical setting, preferably in the applicable area.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and values, or willingness to learn and appreciate cultural differences.
Working Conditions

This role requires good physical and mental health, moderate to heavy physical effort, and flexibility to work rotating shifts and weekends as needed.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000-$80,000 annually, based on location and industry standards.
