Job Title: Spiritual Health Practitioner

At the Health Sciences Centre, we are seeking a skilled Spiritual Health Practitioner to join our team. This role is responsible for providing spiritual care and support to patients, families, and staff in a compassionate and culturally sensitive manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and respond to the spiritual needs of patients, families, and staff
  • Develop and implement spiritual care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
  • Provide spiritual support and guidance to patients and families during times of crisis or transition
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance spiritual care skills
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as theology, psychology, or social work
  • Experience in spiritual care or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of spiritual care principles and practices
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Certification in spiritual care or a related field
