Job Title: Spiritual Health Practitioner

At the Health Sciences Centre, we are seeking a skilled Spiritual Health Practitioner to join our team. As a Spiritual Health Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and culturally sensitive care to our patients, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and respond to the unique spiritual and religious needs of patients, families, and staff in a safe and compassionate manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the interprofessional healthcare team to provide holistic care.
  • Develop and implement spiritual care plans that address the diverse needs of our patients and families.
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and staff on spiritual care and wellness.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance spiritual care services.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as spirituality, psychology, or social work.
  • Supervised clinical experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Active membership in a professional organization with a Code of Ethics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of spiritual care principles and practices.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages.
