Job Summary

The HSE Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental management programs. This position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills to effectively collaborate with site leadership and field personnel.

Responsibilities
- Support site supervision in implementing and managing the Bird Safety Program
- Collaborate with site leadership to develop and facilitate a proactive safety culture on the work site
- Act as a resource for field personnel, providing coaching, mentoring, and advice on all HSE-related matters
- Ensure hazards associated with the work site are identified, documented, and controlled
- Investigate and document incidents on the work site, implementing corrective action plans as needed
- Maintain accurate records of HSE statistics
- Assist in planning and starting new projects, ensuring site-specific safe work practices and procedures are in place

Requirements
- National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation preferred
- 3-5 years' experience in HSE, preferably in construction
- Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract
- End-user fall protection, confined space entry & monitor, standard first aid considered an asset
- Ability to travel out of town based on project assignments located within Manitoba
- Strong knowledge of local government Health & Safety Acts, Policies, Regulations, and Industry Standards as they apply to the construction industry
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
