Job Description:

The Photo Experience Sales Associate role is a key position at the Vancouver Aquarium, responsible for capturing smiles and memories of our visitors by taking and selling souvenir photos. This individual will provide exceptional customer service, promote the sale of photos and other customized items, and contribute to an exceptional visitor experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enthusiastically and professionally greet and interact with visitors to capture their souvenir photo.
  • Promote the sale of photos and other customized items while offering excellent customer service.
  • Accurately perform sales transactions for cash, debit, and credit card at point of sale registers.
  • Organize work stations, replenish stock, conduct inventory, and ensure camera and computer equipment are in good working condition.
  • Represent the Aquarium's high standards at all times while wearing the VAMSC uniform.
  • Confidently communicate information about the facility, events, exhibits, and respond to visitors' questions.
  • Support various Visitor Experience programs, such as conducting visitor surveys and selling memberships.
  • Participate in the Cross-Training employee program and work at Admissions and Gift Shop.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years high volume retail sales experience selling products, cash handling procedures, and basic computer skills.
  • Basic knowledge of camera operation and photo editing is an asset.
  • 2 years of Customer Service role experience or equivalent.
