Risk Modeling and Analytics Intern

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Risk Modeling and Analytics team as a Student Placement. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in risk management and analytics, working closely with our experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of risk models and analytics tools, leveraging your knowledge of statistical programming languages such as Python, SAS, and SQL.
- Collaborate with the team to identify and analyze data quality issues, and develop strategies to improve data accuracy and reliability.
- Assist in the preparation of regular and ad-hoc reporting and data analytics, and communicate findings to senior members of the Risk Modeling team.
- Contribute to the development of documentation for audits and other processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with statistical programming languages, such as Python, SAS, and SQL, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to handle and organize large amounts of data, and effectively summarize and present findings to senior members of the team.

Eligibility
To be eligible for this Student Placement, you must be a student returning to school after the work term end-date, or be graduating in April or August 2025 and require the full 4 or 8 months work term as a mandatory component to graduate successfully.
