Network Infrastructure Specialist

Dawn Staffing Solutions Inc. is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Mississauga, ON. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our clients' network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN) tailored to a manufacturing environment.
- Configure and install software, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
- Ensure the integration of network systems with manufacturing equipment and automation systems.
- Monitor network performance to ensure system availability and reliability.
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.
- Troubleshoot network issues and outages, providing level 2/3 support.
- Implement and manage network security measures to protect manufacturing data, software, and hardware.
- Optimize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with network architects.
- Maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams.
- Generate and analyze reports on network performance, security, and capacity.
- Proficiency with network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware, specifically in a manufacturing context.
- Knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Familiarity with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nagios).
- Understanding of manufacturing automation systems (e.g., SCADA, PLCs) and their networking requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CompTIA Network+, or similar are highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer or Network Administrator.
- Hands-on experience with network administration, including routing, switching, and security.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and virtual networking is a plus.
