About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team at EllisDon. As a Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure the highest level of performance and security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain LAN and WAN networks, including wired and wireless infrastructure.
  • Provide 3rd level support for network hardware, software, and problems reported, documenting problems and solutions as required.
  • Manage and support the operating viability of our network infrastructure, ensuring 24/7 availability and performance.
  • Contribute to the design, configuration, and maintenance of VOIP networks, network security, and applications running on these platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the daily operations of our infrastructure-wide, local, and wide-area networks.
  • Coordinate resources and provide hands-on technical expertise as a point of escalation to other Operations Teams when needed.
  • Report on operational audits and performance monitoring.
  • Maintain updated records of network inventory, diagrams, specifications, and configuration item data in document repositories and the computer management database.
  • Effectively use ITIL processes for all required changes and requisitions.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in a related field.
  • Current CCNP or CCIE certification.
  • 5+ years' experience working with Cisco products in a large enterprise in a multi-site environment.
  • Expert knowledge in diagnosing complex network performance issues and working with Network Monitoring systems, Wireshark, Splunk, NETFLOW, etc.
  • Expert in documentation and network topology visualization at all OSI levels.
  • Experience in Aruba Clearpass is an asset.
  • Passion for network support and IT Service Delivery.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal and consultative skills.
  • Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products as required.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Valid driver's license, and vehicle.
