As a key player in crafting policies, driving major planning initiatives, and overseeing development approvals, you'll be instrumental in defining how our city grows and evolves.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and Implement Planning Strategies: Balance growth with environmental sustainability, economic prosperity, and community well-being.
  • Lead a High-Impact Team: Mentor and empower planning professionals to excel while fostering innovation and collaboration.
  • Oversee Key Projects: Official Plan reviews, secondary plans, development applications, zoning by-laws, and urban design standards.
  • Engage with Community Members: Facilitate public consultations and turn feedback into actionable policies.
  • Monitor and Forecast Trends: Position the municipality as a leader in progressive planning practices.
  • Collaborate Across Departments: Ensure alignment with economic development, transportation, infrastructure, and environmental strategies.
