Job Title: Executive Chef Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef Assistant to join our team at Tandoori Nation. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting our Executive Chef in the planning, preparation, and presentation of our menu items.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Coordinate special events, including catering and banquets.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain inventory and records.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Order supplies and equipment, and manage kitchen operations.
  • Recruit and hire staff, and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Basic security clearance required.
Work Environment:

Tandoori Nation is a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant environment. As an Executive Chef Assistant, you will be required to work in a physically demanding environment, with frequent lifting, bending, and standing. You will also be required to work in a team environment, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
