Job Summary:

As an Advanced Care Paramedic with Alberta Health Services, you will play a critical role in providing emergency medical care to patients in need. Your expertise will be essential in assessing emergency scenes, treating patients, and transporting them to medical facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess emergency scenes and patients, providing critical care as needed
  • Administer medications, advanced life support, and other treatments to patients
  • Transport patients to medical facilities, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care

Requirements:

  • Non-restricted registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics as an Advanced Care Paramedic
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider certification
  • Valid class 4 Alberta Operator License or equivalent
  • Successful completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current certification in ACLS, PALS, NRP, ATLS/ITLS
  • Additional related post-secondary program completion

Working Conditions:

As an Advanced Care Paramedic, you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, often in challenging weather conditions. You must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment, stand for extended periods, and work in a physically demanding role.
