We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to provide high-quality nursing care in long-term and acute care facilities in the Wallaceburg area.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced RPN to work with our team at RhynoCare Healthcare. As a long-term care nurse specialist, you will be responsible for providing individualized care to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans, providing timely and accessible admission processes, as well as ensuring resident transfers and discharges are safe and efficient.

Responsibilities
  • To provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, and within the scope of practice of an RPN.
  • Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care.
  • Ensure timely and accessible admissions for residents, including comprehensive orientations to the home and services offered.
  • Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Able to work with persons with infectious diseases.
  • BLS Certificate.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR.
  • Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV) and negative TB skin test within one year as well as Hepatitis B.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shift times, including eight or twelve hours.
  • Ability to 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital.
