Niijaansinaanik Child and Family Services is a culture-based organization that provides prevention, protection, and child and family services that reflect the values, beliefs, and principles of the Anishinabek culture.

We are seeking a Services Supervisor - Alternative Care to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising front-line staff and providing direction, coaching, and clinical supervision to ensure that child welfare protection services are delivered in alignment with our strategic planning, policies, and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Anishinabek culture, traditions, and the Seven Grandfather Teachings. They will also have knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Child and Youth Family Services Act, and experience working in child welfare protection or social services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise front-line staff and provide direction, coaching, and clinical supervision
  • Ensure that child welfare protection services are delivered in alignment with our strategic planning, policies, and procedures
  • Develop and implement plans to improve services and outcomes for children and youth
  • Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure seamless service delivery

Requirements:

  • Master of Social Work degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience working in child welfare protection or social services
  • 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role
  • Knowledge of Anishinabek culture, traditions, and the Seven Grandfather Teachings
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Child and Youth Family Services Act
