Customer Service Collection Specialist

About the Role- Purpose:
- This program aims to bridge the gap between education and professional life by offering hands-on experience, learning from industry experts, and contributing to real-world projects.
Liaise with stakeholders including Collection Agencies, Customers, Trustees, Receivers, Solicitors, Executors, and other sources to resolve files efficiently.
- Produce and maintain various collection activity reports.
- Handle finalization of business failures, deaths, preparation of bad debt write-off requests, and recovery of payment of post trips and charges.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

RequirementsApplicants must be 18 years of age or older and currently registered in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution (college or university). Proof of enrollment will be required.
- Business or vocational knowledge learned through Community College – 1 Year Program.
- Understanding of the Collection Act and the Bankruptcy Insolvency Act.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Windows, Adobe Products – PeopleSoft, Billview, I-view, Maestro, DRN Commerce & CBCL Links. Solid customer service, organization and communication skills.
