Job Title: Marine Repair Technician

We are seeking a skilled Marine Repair Technician to join our team at C.T. INLET MARINE REPAIRS INC.

Job Summary:

The Marine Repair Technician will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on marine equipment, including engines, electrical systems, and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of marine systems and be able to diagnose and repair complex issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on marine equipment, including engines, electrical systems, and mechanical systems
  • Diagnose and isolate faults on engines and other marine equipment
  • Document inspection and test results
  • Estimate repair costs and provide quotes to customers
  • Read blueprints and technical manuals to determine work requirements
  • Review work orders and prioritize tasks
  • Instruct apprentices and provide on-the-job training
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and service on marine equipment
  • Advise customers on work performed and condition of equipment
  • Test and adjust repaired equipment for proper performance
Work Environment:

The Marine Repair Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The position requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination. The ideal candidate will be physically demanding and able to work in a combination of sitting and standing positions.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in marine repair or a related field
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide instruction to apprentices
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor and work in a fast-paced environment
