Job Summary:The Marine Repair Technician will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on marine equipment, including engines, electrical systems, and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of marine systems and be able to diagnose and repair complex issues.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform repairs and maintenance on marine equipment, including engines, electrical systems, and mechanical systems
- Diagnose and isolate faults on engines and other marine equipment
- Document inspection and test results
- Estimate repair costs and provide quotes to customers
- Review work orders and ensure that all repairs are completed to a high standard
- Provide training and guidance to apprentices and junior technicians
- Perform scheduled maintenance and service on marine equipment
- Advise customers on work performed and the condition of their equipment
- Test and adjust repaired equipment to ensure proper performance
The Marine Repair Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The role will require manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
Requirements:- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
