Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Marine Repair Technician to join our team at C.T. INLET MARINE REPAIRS INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the repair and maintenance of marine equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical System Repair: Adjust, repair or replace electrical system parts to ensure optimal performance.
  • Mechanical System Repair: Adjust, repair or replace mechanical system parts to ensure optimal performance.
  • Engine Diagnostics: Diagnose and isolate faults on engines to determine the cause of malfunctions.
  • Documentation: Document your inspection and tests made on engines to ensure accurate records.
  • Cost Estimation: Estimate repair costs to provide accurate quotes to customers.
  • Blueprint Reading: Read blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Work Order Review: Review work orders to ensure accurate completion of tasks.
  • Apprentice Training: Instruct apprentices on the proper techniques and procedures for marine equipment repair.
  • Scheduled Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance and service on marine equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Customer Communication: Advise customers on work performed and the condition of equipment.
  • Equipment Testing: Test and adjust repaired equipment for proper performance.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The position requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in marine equipment repair.
