Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at Aegion. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a culture of safety and ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Conduct regular site inspections and investigations to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on safety procedures and protocols
  • Collaborate with management and employees to identify and address safety concerns
  • Maintain accurate records of safety incidents and near misses
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. occupational health and safety, environmental science)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a health and safety role
  • Strong knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
