Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Charles River Laboratories in Laval, Quebec.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating hazards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver health and safety training programs.
  • Investigate incidents and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Monitor and report on health and safety metrics and performance indicators.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in health and safety or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in health and safety or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bilingual (English and French) is an asset.
