Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical and Electrical Equipment Service Specialist to join our team at Veolia Group Water Technologies and Solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to support the delivery of pilot-scale water treatment technologies across North America.

About the Role

This role will be responsible for performing in-house and on-site equipment service support for various pilot-scale water treatment technologies. In this position, you will work closely with our Pilot Project Managers and Pilot Equipment Supervisor to ensure the quality of the service performed on the pilot equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, test, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment including pumps, valves, chemical dosing equipment, and online probes (pH, ORP, conductivity, and turbidity), SCADA, and PLCs.
  • Collection and analysis of water samples.
  • Communicate daily with project managers and report issues, concerns, or abnormalities.
  • Train customer operators on the operation of pilot equipment.
  • Conduct daily activities in a safe manner meeting or exceeding customer and SUEZ's safety policies.
  • Maintain a neat, organized, and professional job site and work area.
Requirements:
  • Engineering or other degree or college diploma, with water treatment experience preferred.
  • Practical experience with mechanical and/or electrical equipment, experience with water treatment equipment preferred.
  • Proficient in standard computer software programs (MSWord, MSExcel, MSPowerpoint, MSOutlook).
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal) required, French considered an asset.
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the USA required, ability to travel to other countries considered an asset.
  • Ability to perform light manual tasks on-site including lifting and using hand and power tools.
  • Commit to a 12-16 month contract.

Salary Range:

The estimated salary for this role is between $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
