Senior Cook

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Verve Senior Living. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality meals to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, using fresh ingredients and adhering to dietary restrictions.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment and storage areas.
- Work collaboratively with the Dining Services Manager and other team members to achieve our shared vision of providing exceptional dining experiences for our residents.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance our food service operations.
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, and receiving supplies.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in large volume food cooking, preparation, and plating techniques.
- Graduate of a recognized college food preparation program and Certified Red Seal certificate.
- Valid regional food handler's certificate.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in the English language.
- Strong knife and preparation skills, as well as fundamental baking skills.
