Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks for residents and guests
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, adhering to health authority regulations
  • Assist with menu planning, inventory control, and food purchasing
  • Supervise meal preparation and service during the absence of the Dining Services Manager
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to achieve continuous quality improvement standards

Requirements:

  • Minimum of grade 12 education required
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in large volume food cooking, preparation, and plating techniques
  • Graduate of a recognized college food preparation program and Certified Red Seal certificate
  • Valid regional food handler's certificate
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
