Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, using fresh ingredients and adhering to dietary restrictions.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment and storage areas.
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Collaborate with the Dining Services Manager to plan and implement menus, specials, and events.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a large-volume food cooking environment.
  • Graduate of a recognized college food preparation program.
  • Certified Red Seal certificate.
  • Valid regional food handler's certificate.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
