About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our culinary team at Verve Senior Living. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals and snacks for residents and guests, adhering to sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Ensure dietary restrictions are met and maintain accurate inventory control of ingredients.
  • Assist with training and supervising staff involved in food preparation and service.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement standards and maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Dining Services Manager or delegate.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of grade 12 education required.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in large volume food cooking, preparation, and plating techniques.
  • Graduate of a recognized college food preparation program is required and Certified Red Seal certificate.
  • Valid regional food handler's certificate and ability to communicate effectively in English.
