Job Summary

TBR Contracting Ltd. is seeking a skilled Horizontal Earth-Boring Machine Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring the safe execution of trenching and excavation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate horizontal earth-boring machines, backhoes, and loaders to excavate trenches and holes
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications to plan and execute projects
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and ensure safe working conditions
  • Clean and lubricate equipment, and refill tanks as needed
  • Complete onboard and other logs, and prepare accident reports
  • Operate hydraulic pumping systems and maintain equipment
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy equipment operation
  • Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification
  • Driver's License (Class 3 or D)
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate
  • Ground Disturbance - Level 1 program
Work Environment

Work outdoors in various locations, often in dusty conditions. Physically demanding work requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
