About the Role

TBR Contracting Ltd. is seeking a skilled Horizontal Earth-Boring Machine Operator to join our team. As a key member of our excavation and trenching crew, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to dig trenches and excavate sites for various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation, and operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, bulldozers, and loaders.
  • Conduct Pre-Operational Checks: Perform pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Clean and Maintain Equipment: Clean and lubricate equipment, and refill equipment tanks as needed.
  • Complete Logs and Reports: Complete onboard and other logs, and prepare accident reports as required.
  • Operate Hydraulic Pumping Systems: Operate hydraulic pumping systems to power equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy equipment operation, preferably in telecommunication and construction industries.
  • Certifications: Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification, Driver's License (Class 3 or D), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate, and Ground Disturbance - Level 1 program.

  • Work Site Environment: Outdoors, dusty conditions.
