Position Overview

TBR Contracting Ltd. is seeking a skilled Horizontal Earth-Boring Machine Operator to join our team. This role involves operating heavy machinery in various outdoor settings, ensuring the successful completion of projects related to excavation and trenching.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years in a related field
Work Environment

The position requires working outdoors in potentially dusty conditions at various locations. Candidates should be prepared for a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications to plan operational methods
  • Operate heavy equipment, including backhoe excavators and bulldozers
  • Conduct pre-operational checks and maintain equipment by cleaning, lubricating, and refilling tanks
  • Complete necessary logs and prepare accident reports as required
  • Operate hydraulic pumping systems
Certifications Required
  • Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification
  • Driver's License (Class 3 or D)
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate
  • Ground Disturbance - Level 1 program
