About the Role

TBR Contracting Ltd. is seeking a skilled Horizontal Earth-Boring Machine Operator to join our team. As a key member of our excavation and trenching crew, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to dig trenches and excavate sites for various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate horizontal earth-boring machines, backhoes, and loaders to dig trenches and excavate sites.
  • Interpret Blueprints and Specifications: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications to plan methods and sequences of operation.
  • Clean and Maintain Equipment: Clean and lubricate equipment, refill tanks, and perform pre-operational checks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Complete Logs and Reports: Accurately complete onboard logs and accident reports to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Conduct Pre-Operational Checks: Conduct thorough pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy equipment operation and excavation.
  • Certifications: Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification, Driver's License (Class 3 or D), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate, and Ground Disturbance - Level 1 program.
Work Environment
  • Work Site Environment: Outdoors, dusty conditions.
  • Work Setting: Various locations.
