SalaryThe estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $87,000 to $111,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join our Long Term Care team at Qathet General Hospital in Powell River, BC. As a Physiotherapist with Vancouver Coastal Health, you will work in partnership with clients and families to establish goals and develop care plans that promote independence and optimal functioning.
You will assess service eligibility, facilitate the development and implementation of care plans, deliver direct care, and provide care management to assist clients in managing their own care and navigating community resources.
In consultation with other healthcare professionals, you will incorporate current evidence into practice and promote client-focused care that demonstrates compassion and respect for diverse cultures and preferences.
You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively as part of a professional team, adjust to new or unexpected events, and manage psychosocial and behavioral issues.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will require:
- A degree in Physical Therapy from a recognized university
- Current full registration with the College of Physical Therapists of BC (CPTBC)
- Recent experience in Home Health clinical practice in Community settings
- Valid BC Driver's License for local area travel
- Broad knowledge of physiotherapy theory and practice within a client-centered model of care
- Knowledge of provincial acts and regulations related to home and community care
- Ability to operate related equipment and current administrative and clinical computer applications
