Role Overview
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a dedicated Addiction Nurse to join the Intensive Care Management team in Powell River, BC.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and supportive counseling to clients in detoxification, stabilization, and long-term care addiction services.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve client-centered care and education.
- Work effectively with challenging clients to maintain a safe environment.
Requirements
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Two years' recent experience providing treatment services to individuals with mental health and substance use concerns.
- Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business purposes.
