Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Specialist to join our team at D&H BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION INC. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing resilient floor coverings, hardwood floors, and underlay and underpadding. They will also possess excellent physical capabilities, including bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings
  • Prepare and install hardwood floors
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a physically demanding environment, with a focus on commercial and residential settings. They will be part of a team that values client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, and organized work habits.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Ability to work 35 hours per week
  • Fluency in English
