Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer Specialist to join our Information Technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting data ingestion tools, ensuring the ideal utilization of warehouses with respect to cost, and providing solutions pertaining to data ingestion tools.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and support data ingestion tools, ensuring seamless data delivery and optimal warehouse utilization.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, automating manual processes and optimizing data delivery.
- Work with partners, including Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams, to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
- Create and update documentation for architectural governance and support of data ingestion tools.
- Educate others on standard processes surrounding data ingestion work, including data modeling, database design, ETL design, job scheduling, and monitoring.
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant.
- 3-4 years of experience with data ingestion tools and data pipeline support work.
- Working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL), and NoSQL databases.
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and find opportunities for improvement.
- Experience with data ingestion tools like HVR, SAP Data Intelligence, SAP BTP solution, Airbyte, and other open-source ingestion tools.
- Experience with big data tools and data flow, data pipeline, and workflow management tools.
