Senior Underwriter, Commercial Auto Specialist

CNA is seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter, Commercial Auto to join our team. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for reviewing applications and determining the acceptability of risks in accordance with company guidelines and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Review applications and requirements for risks requiring complex underwriting skills.
- Determine the need for additional evidence of insurability and appropriate strategy.
- Determine appropriate pricing based on financial and competitive analysis in line with compliance requirements.
- Prepare quotes and answer questions from brokers, policyholders, or other external contacts.
- Analyze quality, quantity, and profitability of risks underwritten and prepare reports for management review.
- Market products and services through the brokerage community and develop and maintain broker relationships.
- Advanced knowledge of underwriting and insurance industry theories and practices.
- Demonstrated high level of technical expertise and product-specific knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in auto underwriting is required. Professional designations such as CIP/CRM are preferred.
