Job Description

The Environmental Planning Leader will be responsible for:

  • Managing complex environmental assessment studies and forecasting to support transportation projects.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to staff to deliver high-quality services and innovative solutions to complex planning challenges.
  • Efficiently managing day-to-day operations, including scheduling, assigning, and reviewing work to achieve project objectives and outcome measures.
  • Assisting in business development activities and undertaking leadership roles in proposal preparation.
  • Preparing technical reports and documentation of activity for clients and project management.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A university degree in Planning, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Geography, or a related professional discipline combined with relevant management experience.
  • A minimum of 15 years of related work experience, including 10 years of infrastructure consulting and design experience.
  • Senior Environmental Planner experience with project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, lead, and supervise a team of highly qualified professionals.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working with transportation planning, modelling, and data practices in the Toronto region.
Salary and Benefits

This position comes with a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you can expect a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, dental, and retirement plans.
