Job Summary
As a Shift Supervisor with Paladin Security, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our security team on a busy college campus in Downtown Vancouver. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct assigned Security Officers on shift, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Maintain and enforce all Paladin Security policies and procedures, ensuring the highest standard of our security program.
- Conduct investigations and perform follow-ups for all incidents, ensuring accurate and complete reporting.
- Review and escalate incident reports as required, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Liaise with facility and client representatives, representing Paladin Security and our client with professionalism and courtesy.
- Assist in site orientation and training of new officers, ensuring completion of site orientation packages and officer review tests within the allotted training period.
- Monitor and document performance of officers, identifying areas for improvement and providing feedback.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in the security industry.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in the security industry.
- Experience working in a large multifaceted facility.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and professionalism.
- Ability to function and lead in a highly dynamic environment.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including foot patrols indoors, outdoors, and in parkades, up and down stairs, and over uneven ground.
