About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Lifecycle Planner - Financial Analyst to join our team at RONA Inc. This is a key role that will play a critical part in driving business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a financial business partner to Merchandising and Planning teams, providing expert analysis and guidance to support informed decision-making.
  • Analyze figures related to inventory and sales, and margins, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with merchandising teams to develop and implement strategies for selling end-of-life inventory, minimizing losses and maximizing returns.
  • Produce detailed inventory turns and obsolescence analysis, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain financial planning models for forecast, budget, and strategic planning, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate university education in finance, accounting, or economics.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field, with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience with retail, margin, and inventory management, with a strong understanding of financial analysis and planning.
  • Excellent analytical, synthesis, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to leadership teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and build strong relationships.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly growing and changing environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent knowledge of IT tools, including Excel, Power BI, and dashboard development.
