Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Laundry Attendant to join our team at Vantage Living Inc. as a Service Excellence Specialist.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional laundry services, ensuring the cleanliness and organization of common areas, and providing excellent customer service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain the Emergency Response system, adhering to established protocols;
  • Provide exemplary laundry services, including scheduled and non-scheduled assignments, with attention to detail and quality control;
  • Support the provision of a high-quality living environment for seniors by maintaining a clean and organized laundry area;
  • Ensure all common areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards, including main dining room, hallways, restrooms, entrance areas, activity room, arts & crafts room, wine bar, sports lounge, country kitchen, workshop, theatre, and offices;
  • Set up and maintain the continental breakfast buffet, creating a welcoming atmosphere for residents;
  • Monitor security and privacy of all tenants at all times, including emergency response system checks;
  • Adhere to WHMIS protocols and infection control guidelines when performing job functions;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A strong background in housekeeping and laundry experience in a hotel or retirement environment is considered an asset;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Strong awareness of environmentally sound practices and a commitment to sustainability;
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, with WHMIS certificates and First Aid certification preferred;
  • Self-directed approach, with excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is $45,946.42 CAD, based on industry standards and location. We offer a competitive benefits package, including opportunities for professional growth and development.
