Role Overview

As a key member of our team at Altea Active, the Boutique Fitness Team Lead plays a vital role in creating an exceptional experience for our members. This position requires a passion for fitness, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

The successful candidate will lead fitness classes, motivate participants, and oversee boutique fitness operations to ensure a welcoming and professional environment. They will be responsible for creating and leading workshops to train and educate instructors on class formats, teaching studio fitness classes, and conducting class evaluations as necessary.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the health and fitness industry, with certification in group fitness or training relevant to their classes. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members and members alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead fitness classes and motivate participants
  • Oversee boutique fitness operations and ensure a welcoming and professional environment
  • Create and lead workshops to train and educate instructors on class formats
  • Teach studio fitness classes and conduct class evaluations as necessary
  • Display extensive working knowledge of industry standards and practices
  • Assist the Studio Fitness Manager with sub requests and entering changes in software
  • Craft and propose new concepts to build and engage the studio fitness community
  • Schedule studio fitness content publications across platforms
  • Engage with the online audience by responding to comments and viewer feedback

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education relating to the health and fitness industry or recreation management
  • Certification in group fitness or training relevant to their classes
  • At least 1+ years in a leadership role
  • At least 2+ years of experience instructing studio fitness classes and managing programs with diverse populations
  • Tech-savvy with well-honed marketing and social media abilities
  • Amicable, culturally aware disposition with the ability to identify with broader societal causes and trends
