Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient interviews and take accurate medical histories.
- Perform physical examinations and interpret findings to inform treatment decisions.
- Organize and coordinate laboratory and diagnostic investigations to support patient care.
- Assist patients and their families with the transition from the Emergency Department to the community.
- Communicate effectively with ED physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
- Perform certain acts under the medical directives delegated to you by a physician.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Graduate of a Physician Assistant program in Ontario.
- Certified or eligible for certification through the Physician Assistant Certification Council (PACC).
- Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Demonstrated interest in Emergency Medicine and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record.
