Job Summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for executing warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and cycle counting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and cycle counting.
  • Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
  • Maintain quality controls to ensure accuracy.
  • Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, staging of products, and loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Responsible for dealing with day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse and mailroom environment.
  • Deliver shipments to end users within the location.
  • Scan inbound and outbound shipments into tracking system.
  • Interact with customer employees.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One (1) year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to be a team player and able to work within a diverse work environment.
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.
  • Highly thorough and dependable.
  • Punctual and good attendance record.
  • Ability to perform work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work using health and safety methods.
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
  • Competent in the use of MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word) with experience managing critical email requests.

This is a warehouse-based position that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as a member of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
