We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead, Member Services to join our team at CAAT Pension Plan. As a key member of our Member Services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality pension administration services to our members.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee pension administration processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Member Services team, including coaching and developing team members.
- Collaborate with Senior Pension Analysts and the Manager, Member Services to maintain high service standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of our pension administration services.
- Review and analyze statistical data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address gaps in processes and knowledge requirements.
- Act as the first point of contact for escalated member queries and participate in employer update sessions and member walk-ins.
- Approve new pension entitlements and ensure compliance with Plan provisions and regulatory requirements.
- A College Diploma or a University Degree, with CEBS or PPAC highly desirable.
- A minimum of eight years of experience in pension administration with progressively more senior responsibilities.
- Experience in MEPP or public sector pension administration, or with an outsourcing service provider.
- Understanding of pension administration systems and working with pension plan texts.
- Experience with compliance issues and rules such as marriage breakdown, minimum disclosure, PBA prescribed time limits.
- Proficiency in using Excel and the ability to learn new software programs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, mathematical aptitude, problem-solving, and time management skills.
