About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Apprentice Chef to join our culinary team at Tandoori Flame. As an Apprentice Chef, you will be responsible for assisting our experienced chefs in the preparation and cooking of meals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Order supplies and equipment
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas
- Organize buffets and banquets
- Manage kitchen operations
Requirements:
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment
- Permanent employment
- 40 hours per week
- English language proficiency
Work Environment:
Tandoori Flame is a fast-paced restaurant environment with a physically demanding work setting. The successful candidate will be required to stand for extended periods and work under pressure.
