Job Title: General Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled General Supervisor to join our team at Your Modern Kitchen Inc. as a key member of our operations team.

Job Summary:

The General Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our production team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of production team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Prepare and submit reports on production progress and any issues that may arise.
  • Coordinate and schedule activities to ensure smooth workflow and minimize downtime.
  • Oversee apprenticeship training and ensure that all team members are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
  • Recruit and hire new team members as needed, and conduct related staffing actions.
  • Train or arrange for training to ensure that all team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Estimate costs and materials required for production and ensure that all necessary resources are available.
  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed and that the work environment is safe and healthy.
  • Recommend personnel actions to management as needed.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that all team members are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Read blueprints and drawings to understand production requirements and ensure that all team members are aware of their tasks and responsibilities.
  • Requisition materials and supplies as needed to ensure that production can continue without interruption.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support production activities.
