About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Mad Ox Inc. as a key member of our culinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate and manage food costs, inventory, and supplies
  • Supervise and train cooking staff, including specialist chefs and cooks
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and menu ideas
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities for multiple restaurants
  • Ensure high-quality food standards and presentation
  • Train staff in food safety, handling, and preparation
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and inventory
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Safe Food Handling certificate, Emergency First Aid and CPR certification, and Food Safety Certificate
  • English language proficiency
  • 35 hours per week, permanent work term
