Hotel Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Manager to join our team at Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham West Edmonton. As a Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation of the hotel, ensuring that all aspects of the business are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Policies and Procedures

Develop and implement policies and procedures for daily hotel operations, ensuring that they are aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

Recruit and Hire Staff

Recruit and hire staff to fill vacant positions, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and qualifications for the role.

Supervise Staff

Supervise and manage a team of staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are performing their duties to the highest standard.

Negotiate with Suppliers

Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible deals for the hotel, ensuring that all materials and supplies are of high quality and meet the company's standards.

Prepare Budgets and Monitor Finances

Prepare and manage the hotel's budget, monitoring revenues and expenses to ensure that the hotel is operating within its means.

Maintain Hotel Facilities

Oversee the maintenance of the hotel's facilities, ensuring that they are clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Enforce Policies and Procedures

Enforce the hotel's policies and procedures, ensuring that all staff are aware of and adhere to them.

Assist Guests

Assist guests with special needs, providing a high level of customer service and ensuring that their stay is enjoyable and memorable.

Requirements
  • Education

College or CEGEP diploma in a related field, such as hospitality or business.

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a hotel management role.

Language

English language proficiency.

Work Schedule

30 to 40 hours per week.
