We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Africa World Market.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and results-driven individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and leading a team to success. As an Assistant Manager at Africa World Market, you will be responsible for overseeing daily store operations, managing staff performance, and contributing to the growth and development of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Store Operations: Ensure that all store policies and procedures are followed, maintain high standards of customer service, and oversee day-to-day operations to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Staff Management: Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team, providing guidance and coaching to help them achieve their goals and improve their skills.
  • Customer Service: Foster a culture of excellent customer service, resolve customer complaints in a professional and timely manner, and ensure that every customer leaves the store satisfied and loyal.
  • Merchandising and Visual Display: Maintain visual merchandising standards, manage inventory levels, and ensure that products are displayed in a way that attracts customers and drives sales.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in business administration or related field an asset.
  • Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of retail management experience, preferably in a senior role.
  • Skillset: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work autonomously, self-motivated, and results-driven.
